Mage power guide

  • Hi, I have found videos on youtube where mages 50-60 level easily kill big bosses within 15-20 sec (flame does 50k damage per shot!). How do they do that?

    Can someone explain please?

    Which special skills/abilities do they use to increase magical damage of the flame/fireball (or any other spells)?

    Also how to change casting speed from 3s to 1s for flame?

  • Well.., mage/warden (lvl70 elite) and mage/warrior (whole package incl. sta/str swap gear) can be very powerful in nuke situations.

    If you have good gear, a mage/warden can solo most worldbosses in 5 seconds 8)

    Also a magical orientated raid (buffs and de-buffs stacks) is way stronger and versatile then a physical orientated raid.

    On the other end, were those videos from official runes of magic servers?

  • Casting speed can be reduced in many different ways. Just to name a few, you can playing music, curse X rune on staff, and ancient spirit water.

    A lot of burn damage is proper buffing, but also you can increase overall damage by increasing your magic damage, magic attack, and critical damage multipliers.

    From the forum post at

    Damage calculation formula physical and magical

    DmgDone = (MPw)x(CritMod)x(ADF) x [(NCT) x (1 + 2.6x(Spell lvl)/100) x(MDam) + (SBD)]

    CritMod increases damage done when you crit (plussed rings and moti blended sausages increase this)

    ADF is the relationship between your attack and enemy defense

    NCT is natural cast time (3 for flame, even if you reduce casting speed)

    Mdam is the magical damage on your staff

    SBD is the number you see on the spell's tooltip

    Signature coming soon. Maybe.

  • Also mage = fire damage. So any class with debuffs increasing fire damage on boss will increase ur dmg - wl/m is 36%.

    + dmg buffers (Ch/p, Wd/s, K/p, S/p are all >=10%)
