It's bad enough you can't choose the mount you want to buy, instead having to rely on the luck of the draw when spending diamonds, hoping you get the one you want.
The worst part is you can get the same mount several times, a proper waste of diamonds.
Again, i know exactly why it's like this. Just need to voice my frustration, as someone that enjoys a good mount

You're absolutely correct - having a duplicate mount given to you is something I'd find very annoying.
The mechanism is there to allow buyers & collectors to choose the specific mount they want - why isn't it used?
Given the cost of diamonds, and how expensive character development can be, a "diamond-sink" such as this really shouldn't exist.
Worse still, until recently there were a lot of mounts available to "mount collectors" who would spend diamonds (read real cash) for them. There were also festival mounts and monthly mounts. There was a post last year by a collector who stated there were only 90 mount slots in the companion bag and there were so many more he wanted to buy. Seems GF has cut off their nose to spite their face. Overall, it seems like a dumb idea for a game publisher that is trying to monetize the game.
And what happened to all the pets in the IS? My main has 9 item shop pets that all give a different xp and/or tp buff. Now there are only three xp/tp buffs available from the IS pets. More money lost by GF. Makes no sense.
I dont know why they never implemented option for mounts and furniture to be unbound with ABLs, especially since there are those categories in AH. I know how u feel, I'm a title/card/mount collector myself and I have that Viking mount from Score for More on one of my characters that I dont play anymore and I would really like to have option to unbind it and send to my main. Also would be really nice if they made perma mount drops from some high inis. I know they implemented the option with Sascilia minigame (if Im not wrong) where u collect parts and exchange for a mount, problem is that mount isnt perm but the idea itself is cool.

Ther are at least 2 ways to get a free 65% buff mount. During The anniversary event you can collect stuff for and NPC outside the Varanas bridge and exchange for a ostrich mount. Get the correct 3 ostriches and exchange them for a two rider hippogriff. Collect all 12 zodiac dracos of the same level (newborn, adult or legendary) and trade them for a mount.
