My wife has taken scout as her 3rd so I have a question about a crossbow called the rune catapult. What is so special about it ? I read in a guide to get it but not why. i saw a lvl 100 with it euipped the other day, so am I missing something about the rune catapult ?

You can quickly craft free arrows with it. This is valid for the Rune bow as well.
Equip it and right click on it; alternatively, equip it and drag it into your action bar.
An alternative option is the set skill from the Tomb Of Seven Heroes "Shadow of a Thousand Feathers", could be that there is another set skill

What I lack is the exact name of the arrows summoned with this skill. Also, it is implied that some other skills may also be available via these weapons. I need more info on that.

Nope, they just make fancy arrows and shoot them.

When using these arrows, remember that they vanish every time you log the character off. That's not a problem as long as you remember to get more when you log back in.
