What's the best talisman for a w/m (pve)

Given the original question was about Warrior/Mage combo, you guys should stop talking about Flame, as W/M doesn't have Flame. Stick to discussing the effects on fire damage, as the Wing effects any fire damage based skill.

No combo with Mage as primary would choose to use any Wand + Talisman because of the huge loss of m/dmg compare to 2-H Staff.

Caladin we talked about Flame Attack, the magical damage which result from the Lava Weapon buff, the lvl 40 Warrior / Mage's elite skill, or from the Lighting Burn Weapon buff, the level 60 elite skill...

We never talked about Flame, the mage's skill, at all.

I.E, wd/s + ch/p buffs are going to increase your flame attack more with wing of the dragonking than they would with annelia's toy.

Calculations are not perfect, but they are a good illustration as to why annelia's toy is NOT better than wing of the dragonking.

Mdmg increase without Toy :

Increases from 20.000 to 36.079 (increase of 16.079mdmg or an increase of 80%).

With toy :

20327.6 base mdmg.

Food: (20327.6+400)*1.12+400 = 23615

D/wd : (23615+165)*1.1+165 = 26323

Ch/P+Wd/S : 26323*1.2*1.16 = 36642 mdmg.

Increase from 20000 (base should be 20327, but let's give even more benefit to toy) to 36642 (increase of 16642 mdmg or an increase of 83%).

So as you can see, it only increases my mdmg by 3%. Still less than dragonking. Needs to be 6% or so to be better - 60% of my damage is from flame attack, and it increases flame attack by 10%. So 60%/10% for 6%.

I actually tested them before I chose the Toy, I didnt just pull 10% out of a hat.

Flame attack was seriously inconstant in damage. Most of the time it was less than electrical attack and once in a while higher than electrical attack. Also the toy increases damage of both flame and electrical attack.

AND... the toy turns you into a bear so I think that really settles the argument which is better!

Pakito: Ok, my bad, I thought the fire damage on white attacks was call Lava Burn for some reason.

Karza: Interesting, I don't find much inconsistency in the fire damage from my white attacks and it is always higher than the wind damage when using my Wing. I've never tried an Anelia's Toy. One disadvantage of a Toy might be the lack of availability of HD Toys.

Caladin I'm French and playing RoM in French, so I could have been wrong, but I just checked and in the game it's "Flame Attack" and "Thunder Attack". I was wrong on the last one tho.

Karza is correct in mentioning the randomness of flame attacks damage, it has a higher max hit potential then thunder attack however also has a lower min hit, and with no wing of the dragon king or warlock fire dmg debuffs on the target thunder attack will always do more damage over a long duration fight due to that flame atk randomness, however with wl/m and fire dmg% tali flame dmg should without a doubt be your top dmg skill by at least 20%.
