Dear Community,
Last Friday you have learned that our esteemed Fossilo is going to head out in the search for new adventures. Many of you might have asked yourselves who would take over for him regarding product responsibility. Your long wait has come to an end, for I'm here to provide you with the solution to this riddle. I am the one who has answered the call to step up to become the new Product Community Manager for Runes of Magic.
Some brief notes about myself:
I'm 45 years old, identify as male and come from a place called Germany. I started as a Gameforge Community Manager back in 2009 where I was quickly introduced to the worlds of Metin2 and Bitefight (among others). Some of them I still manage until the present day. My first contact with RoM was shortly before I joined GF. I remember my career as a Priest still quite vividly, even though it was crowned only with... modest success when it came to the core task of such a class: Party healing.
Nevertheless, I learned to appreciate other aspects of the game, above all the "Frog Prince" quest which managed to get me in touch with some very nice people in real life. Sooner or later, RoM and I had to cross paths again. In early 2017, I found myself in charge of RoM.de and after a few turbulent years, we've reached this milestone.
What does this all mean for you?
Above all, continuity. Just like Fossilo, I will be in close touch with you, our voluntary helpers from the teams and the CMs to make sure your voices remain heard. The highlights of my mission? Gathering your feedback, assisting in finding solutions for pressing issues and seeking ways to keep the game engaging for you. Bear with me on the path which lies ahead of me, for it is surely full of challenges and a continuous learning experience. I'm excited to face this new challenge together with you. The future of RoM is secure, unlike some rumors you might stumble upon from time to time. Our Product Team is working on ways to bring new content to you (details regarding that in the not-too-distant future, if I'm not mistaken) and with our teams, we'll keep forging new events and fine-tune existing ones where needed.
Before I conclude, I should mention that I'm going to be the new Community Manager for EN as well. You guys over there can be at ease, for you'll be in good hands (as before) and we'll do our best to support you in any way we can.
I want to end by thanking Fossilo for everything he has done here and wish him great success in his future tasks. I know he is handing over his responsibilities in prime condition and I'll make sure they will remain shiny.
Best wishes and see you out there!
