If you are interested in self-sufficiency then you should level cooking to the highest and alchemy to 60. Other crafts are better to be postponed till 100.

When you start leveling professions the most strategic choice to make is whether you want them all on one char or make several alts for that.

Same char. Pros: faster leveling since you need to learn setskills and badge titles only on one char. Cons: you may have to buy craft expansion tickets to bypass the limitations.

Different chars. Pros: This is cheaper (most likely). Cons: leveling will take more resources and time.

There is basically only one way to progress in any craft. Namely, making items. The trick is to get most exp of it. So make sure to get every possible buff for this. Badge titles, crafting exp potion (can be bought with phirius shells), using crafting stations placed in residence (buy it yourself or ask your guildies, someone may let you use his), learning item-set skills for production exp and speed. Using craft speed potion from daily gifts is a good idea for saving time.

Making items will require resources. You can buy them with mementos or wait till crafting festival and spend only gold till 90 or so.

After you thoroughly research and learn what it takes to level one profession to 100 you will decide that it's better to be postponed till reaching level cap, getting at least some gear and running instances. And this will be the right decision ))

The bottom line. Don't bother much with crafting at start. Use dirty statted gear when you are leveling. After 65 or so buy or lend weapons, rings, necklaces that were top grade at lower caps.

And when you are 100 don't go for gear lower than crafted rank. The reason is simple. The price of the item itself sometimes can be literally negligible compared to improvement costs. Making gear isn't free. Actually it's gameforge's most powerful vacuum cleaner to empty your pockets. Yes, this is a pay-to-win game in case you haven't noticed this yet.

PS. Normal mode gear is same rank as crafted, memento gear is between shell and crafted and you should not be spending your memento for it.

PPS. Make sure to read https://runesofmagic.gamepedia.com/Category:Crafting and other related articles on the wiki.

First, better start with asking yourself why exactly do you want to level professions. Making gold? Saving gold (= crafting only the items you need instead of buying them from the AH)? Making gear you or someone else would use? Or just passion to craft something?

Second, leveling a profession to level 100 will take time and resources. It's hardly doable for a beginner so there's no need to rush. Also best time to level is craft festival since you'll need only gold, not resources for all crafts except cooking.

With these considerations in mind let's have a look at the utility of each profession.

Alchemy. Level 60 is enough. Produces potions everyone needs.

Cooking. Potions at level 98 are required for endgame.

Most likely high competition among crafters for both.

Now about wearable item making. The gear ranking looks like this: hard mode instance > pom > crafted > shell > blue from quests. Except maybe scouts who can use a mix of ini and pom items.

So crafted items are good for midgamers and maybe alts which don't require top gear.

Naughtyboy mentioned one exception that making items is an alternative to farming certain stats.

One more thing. There are shortcuts which can dramatically reduce time and resources for profession leveling. Be sure to learn them before starting your crafting career.

I still cannot get what exactly are you trying to do.

There are several link formats. And if you are generating it manually you'll have to calculate the has yourself too. See https://runesofmagic.gamepedia.com/ItemLink for details.

And if you want to get the link you described in a macro then look again at the above example. Put a proper slot number into GetBagItemLink(GetBagItemInfo(1)) and you'll get the link to the specified backpack item.

Do you have other crafts leveled? There are limitations on how many professions you can learn at a time. Ask any crafting npc for details. These limitation can be lifted with craft expansion tickets which are sometimes sold in the IS.

    Another suggestion for peak EXP.

Increase total exp gained if mobs are killed in a party. Maybe only for those who have peak buff. There are several viable options.

Motivation. The way things are now most players are going to farm peak exp by killing easy mode mobs. Which is boring and is far from entertainment. Also support classes are left out. Making pro dps gear only to get around an artificial limitation looks pretty silly. And asking someone "how about you will be farming 4 years instead of 2 because i'm too slow to kill mobs?" is not the way player relations are strengthened.

With increased exp people will still have to spend same time grinding but going in parties will be much more fun for everyone.

PS. To extend the idea in my previous post how about his. Players can take sort of once-per-day quest which gives good exp for killing hard mode last boss in IBP, TOS, ST. This will encourage players to make more runs. And this will make it easier for others to get involved with endgame.

    /run SendChatMessage("Anyone interested in " .. GetBagItemLink(GetBagItemInfo(1)) .. "? Giving out for free!","GUILD")

1 means you are linking the item in the very first slot or your backpack. Use 2 for the second etc.

Generating a link by id may be not as trivial as you think. If you do need this please describe the exact use case you have in mind.

You can use any 1-handed skin for any 1-handed weapon and any 2-handed skin for any 2-handed weapon. Use Standard Aggregator if weapon types are identical and Advanced Aggregator if they are not. But you cannot mix 1h and 2h skins, this is a game limitation.

The good news is there are some interesting 2h weapon skins so keep doing festival tasks.

Let's assume that by introducing peak level system Gameforge wanted players to team up, run high instances, spend more time in the game.

But those who completed quests are now thinking about routine grinding instead of enjoying the game itself.

This is the suggestion. Make last bosses on hard mode give lots of experience, like 1,000,000 peak point (it probably should vary or most will concentrate on ToS runs only). This would be a perfect motivation for people to improve their gear, buy transformation pots ets. And easier for not-endgame-yet players to get involved.

In-game mail and AH require your registration email address to be activated. Normally you receive activation email quick enough. If something's not working for your account then contacting support is the only option.

I cannot understand what your problem with their response was. If they asked which email you were having an issue with ... well, why not just answer that?

But the drop rate really needs to be adjusted.

The Idea of running instances for quest items can be even not that shitty as it might look at start. But running for a faint hope of getting this item is really frustrating.

What's worse it makes unnecessary obstacles for those who want to get close to endgame runs or new players who would probably decide to quit the game now unless it becomes officially pay-2-win club.

Let me write something good in this thread.

I was really surprised to see backpack tickets as mail gifts. Instead of using usual script the game team decided to do something nice to players and put some effort in choosing. My appreciation for this.

PS. Not sure if my post seems sarcastic (I practice commenting GF actions while complying with the forum rules after all). But this particular time it's only a sincere "thank you".

    Yes, it's possible.

Create one game account within your gameforge account. Then you should be able to start two or more clients simultaneously and invite enough characters in the guild.

If you PC cannon handle this you can ask someone to help. He would join your guild and you will be logging chars one by one to be invited by that player.

To the best of my knowledge nothing is "allowed". Well, GMs said certain things to be legal and then banned players for them.

So report everything you think is wrong and expect to be banned yourself for anything you are certain is right.

PS. After new SW rules were released guess how many times people asked this particular question. And guess how many times it was answered.

PPS. My bet is that if they bother to answer it would be like this. You should not gain unfair advantage against other players but we cannot verify if someone gained it against you.

As it was already said, the role of ruby is rather small these days. How about to restore the balance by making 3rd and 4th slot drillers available both for diamonds and ruby? Same way it works with chests, pets etc.

How can I find the Arlya for the mentioned quest? Online database suggests visiting coordinates 65, 9 and I did. Sadly the NPC isn't there. I remember doing this quest on another char and it completed without any problems.

Retaking quest, changing channels didn't help.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you
