  • I had some questions regarding healing end game pve and also sw pvp with priest. I am a complete noob about this and it seems like no one really knows the answer to these questions or atleast no one can explain how these thing work to me on my server.

    1. How does the healing mechanic work w.r.t. magical critical rate, healing points, magical damage and magical attack?

    2. What is the wisdom cap for priest and how does it work?

    3. What kind of stats/gear would one use for pve and pvp? Also do these change with different priest combos (specifically interested in P/S and P/K)

    4. What would be minimum requirements to heal something like ToS HM?

    5. Are there any addons or macros that are useful?

    Thanks!

  • 1)

    - oversimplified formula: (Healing points * Cast Time)*(modifiers on target) = Resulting heal

    - Magical attack has no effect on heal

    - magical crit rate: for heal this is basically the effective crit rate

    2)

Wisdom cap is per skill (for all classes): iirc it's somewhere around 10k-20k. There is no cap for HoTs (hence druids can use way more wisdom than priests)

    3)

    Budget:

    - any level 100 item with healing points and magical crit rate.

    - Stats don't really matter as long as you get more than 100k HP

    Highend:

    - Either same items as above (check for best in slot with regards to critrate and healing points) or instance gear (TOS HM+ ST HM/Pantheon HM-Set)

    - Sta/Wis / Sta/HP / Sta/Def

    Weapon:

    - Wand (T10+) + Shield (statted) or Staff(T10+), for P/R it's Wand + 1H Hammer (there is one with healing points)

    4)

This is highly dependent on the party composition / your skill level.

    5)

    Addons:

    - one of GridCliqueIt / RaidHeal / HealBot

    Remarks:

    - i'm not a main heal let alone priest anymore, so take all of the above with a grain of salt

    - P/K: is really bad: Close to 0 additional support and the elite skills are crappy/broken. P/S (magic attack, damage reduce fairy) and P/R (2 curse runes, 10% matk fairy) are the "good" priest combinations currently

Edited once, last by Pyrr: remove german abbreviations -.- ().

  • Magical damage gives healing points too, half of the value

Afaik wisdom cap for priests, since they only have a very weak HoT, is <8k. All the wisdom you need you can get from the gear itself, so it's possible to stat stamina/HP/pdef.

  • I had some follow up questions :D I know the title asks about healing with priests but since we also discussed Druids, I wanted to ask for gearing and playstyle advice for Druid/Rogue specifically. I had some ideas but wasn't sure if this is optimal for healing Tos HM

    1. Is t10 stated wand (3x sta/def, 3x sta/hp)+t8-t10 stated hammer (3x sta/def, 3x sta/hp)

    2. Shell gear (2xsta/def, 2xsta/wis, 2xsta/hp)

    3. Not sure about accessories but I have heard memento accessories from Salioca are good since they have healing points (?)

This is definitely a budget build but would be willing to go extra if it makes a huge impact. What do you think?

  • 1) hope a professional full-time druid will answer that xD Morima perhaps

    2) => memento healing belt (chassizz), consider only tiering them for some items. this raises the heal- and crit bonus. you don‘t need nor want to be an absolute hp bubble. for head and gloves, you could ask your favorite tailor, the stats are equal to shell gear.

    3) just the ring. for minmaxing you would use hall of earth accessories in all slots. look for +heal&mag.crit as default green stats.

  • Check some of the crafted gear also. Just try to get crit/healing on every piece if you have no main set.
For accessories some mem ones are ok, you get free OD ones from the quest line that are pretty good too

with good gear all you have to do is rockslide and motherfountain to be an end game healer/debuffer
(dr/r rockslide is crazy op if you didn't know)

  • 1. t8-t10 is perfectly adequate

    2. I just picked out the best parts with crit and healing:

    • Cape of the Phantom Anubis
    • Azure Walk of Wisdom
    • New Pantheon Healing Gloves
    • Sacrifice Shoulder Guards of the Storms
    • Demonic Praise of Wisdom
    • Demonic Token of Wisdom
    • Wisdom Faith of the Sickle
    • Elven Priest's Headdress

for many parts there are equally strong others

    3.

    100% true :)
