  • Stats are named bonuses on items such as: Genius XV, Thunder VI, Illumine IX and so on.

An item may have a maximum of 6 named bonuses(stats) on it.

Also an item can only have 1 stat of a certain name on it. For example you cant have 2 Thunder XII stats on an item, but you can have one Thunder XII and one Thunder XI. If you try to add more Thunder XII stats to that item, the resulting item will still have just 1 Thunder XII.

To stat an item means to add stats to it, and to do that one must first extract those stats from an item which already has them.

Extracting a stat is done either with a fusion stone and 1 charge of arcane transmutor (most common way) or by using a random attribute extractor on an item.

The result will be a mana stone which will have the stat(s) and a tier which will be the tier of the item the stat was extracted from, or 1 lvl higher tier than the item in question in the case of some items (usually blue and purple quality items coresponding to the max level of an expansion).

Using a fusion stone will destroy the item it extracts stats from, and also will extract all stats from the destroyed item at once, on one mana stone. Also if the fusion stone had stats on it, those stats will be on the resulting mana stone aswell.

The random atrribute extraction does not destroy the item it is used on, and if that item had more than 1 stat, it will extract just 1 at random, leaving the rest of the stats on the item.

It is used in 2 cases: to either clean unwanted stats from an item, or to extract a good stat from an item with multiple stats (which are not all good, or which are good but not combined).

The resulting mana stone will have just 1 stat on it.

Once you have mana stones with stats, to use them on an item you need 3 mana stones of the same tier, the item you want to stat and 1 arcane transmutor charge.

Depending on the fusion stones used to extract the stats, there are 2 types of statting: dirty and clean.

Clean stats are obtained using purified fusion stones, which can be bough for dias or phirius tokens, or by using a random attribute extractor (less common, more expensive). Clean statting is used to make the best of your gear and stats.

Purified fusion stones dont have any stats of their own on them, so the resulting mana stones will have just the stats extracted.

This is important because an item can only have 6 bonuses, and when adding bonuses on an item, if the total number of stats on the 3 used mana stones + stats already on the item is higher than 6, the extra stats will be lost and it will be the higher tier stats that will not make it to the final item.

Stats have tier represented by roman number at the end of the stat's name: illumine VI will be a tier 6 stat, while illumine X will be a tier 10 stat. Higher tier means better stat.

Also stats come in 3 rarities: green, yellow and orange/red. Red is better than yellow, which is better than green. Stats with the same roman number are seen as of different tiers by the game if they are of a different rarity (colour).

A green stat will be seen by the game as a much lower tier stat than a red stat, even if the roman number it has is much higher.

When statting an item, the stats will always appears on the item in order, top to bottom, from the lowest tier to the highest. If there are more than 6 stats, the ones that would be on the bottom of the list would be lost, that means the highest tier (best)stats.

In the case that you have more than 6 stats but are all of the same tier, or let's say 7 stats but the bottom 2 are of the same tier, the order (positions) in which you place the stats in the arcane transmutor interface will determine which stat(s) are lost.

This can be used in some very circumstantial cases to separate 2 stats extracted from 1 item and end up with a lower tier but better stat on your gear and lose a higher tier useless stat.

Dirty statting uses mana stones obtained with fusion stones that already have stats on them. Those fusion stones can be obtained in game by purchase from severel vendors for various currencies (gold, honour points, ancient mementos), and they can have from 1 stat to a maximum of 3 stats.

The stats on these stone will be much lower than the stats you might want to put on your items, so there is no way to use them without ending up with their stats on the gear you want to stat.

The common practice is to use dirty fusion stones with identical named stats. This way you will only get 1 to 3 unwanted stats on your gear (depending on how many different stats the fusion stones had on them) out of the total of 6 possible ones.

Dirty statting is used for gearing alts or for leveling gear, not for end game or best gear.
