  • perhaps find out their latest games, or ones that are most popular, and post on their forums about how they have "looked" after this game and warn people of what's to come. Try to hit them where it hurts most and maybe more action will be taken?

  • If you still haven't noticed, there are about 3 GMs per team taking care of things in their FREE time. In this free time we do what is in our power to assist where we can and obviously it's not enough time to plan events that everyone's going to hate afterwards anyway. All we can do is repeat what was said before.

What would be an event that you would participate in? There won't be any "just place yourself somewhere and wait for gifts to drop into the backpack". But as soon as an event has you do something for it, it's not worth it (player feedback, not mine).

We have asked many times and the answer is always "just do something" and this something is just "something we can complain about".

There is quite alot of various things we could come up with but from experience, players are just not interested, prefering to wait until it's over so they can complain how bad everything still is.

    We're not scared. Merely tired.

  • Thank you for responding Sarkas. It is great to see you are still reading this thread.

As you asked, I would participate in the following event: Raiding the New Pantheon

Event Description: For two days a week, GM's grace the magical world of Tarborea. They will lead the adventurers in exploring the final frontier - the New Pantheon.

Event effects: The level of monsters in the New Pantheon instance is temporarily reduced by 4 (normal mode) and by 6 (hard mode).

If you can make this event possible, even if others complain - I will not.

There's one major showstopper for events, the horribly broken game client. Monster Invasion? Crashfest! Find the GM? Crashfest! Do anything with two dozen players within visibility range? Crashfest! So, yes, players prefer waiting events out, with the camera zoomed into their feet. It's better than watching the game launch screen over and over again.

What somewhat works is a guild parcour game. An obstacle course within a guild castle you have to navigate to reach some reward. With an event NPC handing out that reward, so players can space out their visit to not encounter too many in once place. There's another major showstopper though, the game server is also horribly broken, it likes to disconnect players that stay more than a few minutes within the guild castle. I believe the last we heard about this confirmed bug was roughly two years ago, something about a fix still being diligently worked on, maybe our Community Manager could grace us with an update?
