  • It's common knowledge that certain main line quests tend to bug over time. Two most "popular" examples are the infamous Sacrificial Lamb in Limo and Battlelines on the Brink in Chrysalia. And progressing without them is really hard. This is especially frustrating during exp events when lots of time is just wasted due to bugs. At least this is true for Vidar server.

    Players use the support tickets, IRC chat, even world shots for GM but in my experience this usually takes really long and often people have to wait till next scheduled maintenance.

    However it can be fixed just by restarting the zone which can be done by a system administrator (I'm sure there's someone to watch servers and fix if necessary) and hopefully doesn't require GF CEO authorization.

    Could you please introduce a reliable routine for quick zone restart? Maybe some GM can regularly check the iRC for relevant messages? Or it can be a one-button web interface for the two mentioned quests. These bugs can usually be quickly verified by any person in the zone.

    the fastest way to get our attention when a zone needs restarting is by posting in this thread: [Collection Thread] Zone, Server, Login Issues


    As we aren't online in the game or IRC chat at all times (it's weekend and we have also a personal life), it is easy to miss messages on these platforms.


    On forum everyone can contribute and as soon as some one from the team checks it, he can forward the message.

    As soon as it is verified, an admin will request a restart.

GM's and system admins know that these zones are broken for years, just restart the zone every morning during xp event. It does not effect anyones gameplay as the main zones dont have any world bosses in that anyone could abuse.


    Don't see why it's tricky to understand.

  • Diogenes, thank you for replying. I forgot to mention that thread but in my experience it is not always helpful either and zone restarts are often done during server maintenance, not per request.

    The good news is that you suggested the fastest way.

  • Not to mention the fact that to make things even worse *there is no maintenance this week* what a joke no wonder people have quit this weekend, they got nothing at all from XP event and now the ones that have not quit yet will have to wait even longer to star questing again.

  • Cant even imagine for new starters, what it takes to level to level cap thees days. So many bugged quests at main lines, that its easier just to ask for powerlevel till 80 or best till 93. There you will have guaranteed succes. Looks like every new guy must contact admins atleast once per his main quest line. And if it happens to be weekend then sayonara Xp event.

    If only admins would respond to GM call in game and help on big XP events more closely. That would be more then enough. Thank you!

    Please follow Diogenes advice next time you encounter an issue that requires a zone restart.

    I'd say this is a preety good solution that requires the IQ of a goldfish to implement. Ofc that would still be insulting to a goldfish to compare it to gameforge..

    These bugs on the main quest line are known for years now ! We can soon say these bugs are known for a decade !


    You might also correct these bugs. We don't ask for daily correction, year's correction would be a plus !
