  • Well- I finally got back into the game. New problem now.

I built a new PC and started copy over all my files and downloading my preferred browser and other stuff (like the GF launcher). Some of my add-ons were no longer on Curseforge, so I copied my addons folder to a thumbdrive and transfered them to my new system. When I open the game, they are all there, but the buttons (except for lootomatic, go figure) are all globbed up on top of each other and refuse to move with <shift, right click drag>

    Any suggestions??(

  • you can change the pos by MINIMAPBUTTONNAME:SetPos(x,y) but i would rather investigate the problem why SHIFT+rightclick doesn't work. try removing 50% of your addons -> check if it works. if not -> add the removed 50% and remove the other half and check again and so on

  • I started deleting them one at a time. In the end, I ended up deleting the entire addons folder and copying it fresh off the thumbdrive. The second attempt works fine.

  • I am still having one problem. THe Dungeonloots button is not appearing. I went to Curseforge to read the description, there ar no " / " commands listed to say, "Do this." I tried the obvious stuff. /dl, /dungeonloots, /dl open, all that stuff. Nana.

  • The second attempt works fine.

Gotta love a computer-related issue that mysteriously solves itself. They're just so damned weird!

this is not a mysterious solution. it's all logic.

    1. there's corrupted data in the savedvariables.lua
    2. game starts: all addons load their shit, including the corrupted data
    3. game closes regularly (!): all addons save their data, including the corrupted stuff, to savedvariables.lua
    4. an addon is removed
    5. game starts: all data is loaded, except the one of the removed addon
    6. game closes regularly (!): all loaded (!) data is now saved (=> the removed addon can't save anything)
    7. the removed addon is installed again

    8. game starts: the addon removed in step4 acts like being newly installed

    9. configure it, then close the game regularly (!)

    10. restart from step 4

    11. after many loops, you gonna have a non-corrupted savedvariables.lua

in this process, the corrupted data is guaranteed to be deleted.

see: no magic. just bits n bytes.

or, maybe .... i'm just a quite good magician

  • So- next mystery. Dungeonloots has no data about the loot drops. When I open it, I just see a bunch of rectangular boxes in 3 vertical rows. THe same with the labels and buttons at the top.So what do we think?
