Daily Quest: "Custom-made Armor" & Item: Beetle Crystal Shell

There are some other dailies like this as well. The one that comes to mind is the first quest after you leave Chrysallia. It becomes a daily after completion and if you gather more than the required number, you lose them all. Pretty sure it's intentional.

The Firm Plates original & daily in Redhill Mountains does that. I have a note on the wiki page that warns you to hand them in AS DONE, do not hold more than you need, as it will take all you have.

I guess the page for the above quest needs that warning, too.

Added the following to the above quest:

It has been noted that handing in these quests will remove ANY and ALL Beetle Crystal Shells in your backpack. You can not hunt extra stacks of these shells for that reason unless you have a way to dump the extras in a different storage device (bank or house box) before doing the turn-in.

Note from Return the Supplies:

Each Scattered Item you carry adds a rank of Heavy Supplies, decreasing your Movement speed. This gets worse if you are carrying more than 8. Because of this, plan out your route so that as you get slower you get closer to Cedon Bolund



It does you no good to gather more than Scattered Item ×8, as he will take all you have each time, and carrying more gets real heavy real fast (slows you down).



BTW, while every other object in the game takes 6 seconds to harvest, these Scattered objects take only 3 seconds to harvest, and there is no cooldown afterwards so you can immediately run to the next one. It feels a little weird.

Weirdly, it only took the required 10 today, leaving me with my 13 excess.

I'm not sure why it should behave differently but I'll be watching closely to see what happens over the next week or so...
